This recipe came from my friend, Sharon. It's so good I asked if I could share it here. You make everything the night before and just bake it in the morning.

I read the comments and was worried when someone said it was too soggy, so when it came time to pour on the egg and milk mixture, I only used 3/4 of that. This turned out great for me, and I suspect it would have been fine if I used all of the milk and egg, but I wanted to play it safe. Thumbs up from Kay in Dayton, Alabama!

The dish turned out just as described, but it was simply too sweet/rich for my families liking. It was well worth the try though.

Very disappointing, unfortunately. I baked this dish for over an hour, and it was still mushy and gloppy, no "golden" in sight. The flavor was okay but needed more spice (and I had put in an extra tsp. of cinnamon already)... but that couldn't have saved it, because it was just too hard to get past the squidginess.
