Introduced in 1959


This cereal was promoted with the lines: "Feel your oats" and "Tastes like oatmeal cookies." A 1959 newspaper ad called it "the first flakes made with oats (most nutritious grain of all!)."

Company Description: Founded by C.W. Post, the company began in 1895 in Battle Creek, Michigan under the name Postum Cereals. Their first product was a coffee substitute called Postum. I used to buy the late 1980's version. They were the BEST cereal I've ever eaten. The texture and the taste were perfect. BRING THESE BACK, PLEASE!!!!!
