This cereal is described on the box as a "maple flavored homestyle waffle cereal (with a) sweet crunchy taste." Each cereal piece has 7 indentations meant to give the appearance of a waffle.
The ingredients listed on the nutrition panel are wheat flour, sugar, whole grain oat flour, degerminated yellow cornmeal, palm oil, contains 2% or less of salt, maple syrup, natural flavor, calcium carbonate, turmeric extract color, annatto extract color, BHT for freshness and a smattering of vitamins and minerals.
This cereal, and another cereal introduced simultaneously called Eggo Blueberry cereal, represents a sort of reintroduction of the Eggo brand to the cereal aisle. In 2006, Kellogg's gave us Eggo Maple Syrup cereal and Eggo Cinnamon Toast cereal.
