The complete name of this VERY limited edition cereal was Cap'n Crunch's Freedom Crunch. It consisted of red white and blue 'Crunchberries' - round corn and oat puffs. Fitting with its 4th of July Independence Day theme, the front of the box showed Cap'n Crunch posed before an American Flag with a Bald Eagle perched on his shoulder.
From online reports (particularly from cerealously.net), it appears that only a very few boxes of Freedom Crunch were produced. The cereal seems to have been scrapped during the test marketing phase. The only known sighting of Freedom Crunch has been in Minnesota.
