The front of this cereal box says that this product is "100% natural whole wheat with crunch granola clusters" with a bold, front-and-center claim that "Post Shredded Wheat Crunch may help reduce the risk of heart disease." The main cereal pieces have an interwoven checkered appearance somewhat similar to Chex cereals.
When the cereal was announced in January of 2015, a press release quoted a company executive describing the cereal like this: "New Post Shredded Wheat Crunch still provides breakfast lovers with what they know and enjoy about classic Post Shredded Wheat cereals – a delicious and healthy option to start their morning. This new variety offers the goodness of whole grain in every serving with crunchy granola clusters for a delicious and heart healthy satisfaction in your cereal bowl."
