Frosted Rice Chex Juniors
From: Ralston
Introduced in 1990

This cereal was described on the box as a "mini frosted rice cereal" that is "full of good nutritious stuff" with "a great big taste of rice".

Known premiums: Free MusiCards and a $2.00 off of cassettes and CD's from Musicland and Sam Goody coupon; a neon wrist pouch (sort of a fanny pack for your hand).

The back of one box described the cereal in a slang-ridden poem:

I'm a-talkin' to you
cuz you're a kid with style.
And you know life's
good waken' up with a smile.

Now dance along with me,
get to rappin' - feel the beat.
It's alright to go on pause
if you wanna crunch and eat.

Hey! Roll outta bed there,
get your body on the move.
Frosted Rice Chex Juniors
is the maximum in grooves.

It's full of good nutritious stuff.
(see side panel now).
So when you ask your mom for it,
she won't have a cow.

Mini Rice Chex Juniors
have a great big taste of rice.
Share 'em with your friends today.
That is, if you feel nice.

The frosted one for total fun.
Let's grab a bowl this minute.
And start your day the hot new way,
Put jammin' Juniors in it!

Got suckered in by the prize attached to the box. I thought it was too sweet and gross, and this is coming from a kid palate. Made my mom mad because I didn't eat it after she bought it, lol.

I believe that I once had this one before. I'm disappointed that they stop making that delicious cereal. So I now go with Cinnamon Chex.

There are few good gluten free cereals. I think their sales would be much stronger in today's gluten free environment.

You need to bring this cereal back to the public. Biggest company mistake was to remove it off the grocer shelves.
