Peanut Butter And Jelly French Toast
(2 servings) Printable Version
- 1 large egg
- 1 teaspoon milk
- 4 slices of bread
- 2 Tablespoons peanut butter
- 2 Tablespoons of your favorite jelly of jam
- butter or cooking spray - for frying
- powdered sugar - for topping
How To Make Peanut Butter And Jelly French Toast
Beat egg and milk together in a shallow bowl. Make two peanut butter and jelly sandwiches as you normally would.
Dip sandwiches into the egg mixture - gently soaking the exposed outer sides of the sandwiches.
Melt butter in a frying pan over medium heat (or spray generously with cooking spray).
Fry each side of the sandwiches until golden brown.
Serve sprinkled with powdered sugar.

What's not to love? If you love PB&J (which I do) and you love french toast (which I do) then you will absolutely LOVE this recipe :)

One of my favorite breakfast places serves a version of this called "PB&J Goes To France." Its my favorite!!! The only thing I changed is I seared the sandwich in a skillet and then finished it in the oven. 250 for 10-15 min. It was awesome.

Fun! My first look, I though it was weird, but then it just seemed like an interesting stuffed French Toast. Proof was in the taste... great!
