This cereal is described on the box as a "lightly sweetened multi-grain cereal with praline pecans and Makara cinnamon".

The first five ingredients listed on the side of the box are whole oat flour, whole brown rice flour, Turbinado sugar, praline pecans and fruit juice concentrate.

The complete text from the back of the cereal box in the summer of 2008 reads as follows:

Now you can experience the word-famous taste of Cinnabon cinnamon rolls in a nutritious breakfast cereal made with whole grains and our signature ingredients.

Exclusive Makara Cinnamon

In the quest for the world's finest cinnamon, we've traveled the spice-growing regions of the globe to find the very best, most flavorful cinnamon. We finally discovered it in the tropical mountains of Indonesia, near Mount Korintji. Grown at a very hight elevation, this special variety of cinnamon produces an optimal concentrations of volatile oils responsible for cinnamon's pungent flavor and characteristic aroma. Named Makara, this special cinnamon is exclusive to Cinnabon and is very carefully harvested and prepared.

After harvesting, each batch of raw material is tested by technicians and outside laboratories to verify the proper level of volatile oils. Then we use an exclusive temperature-controlled grinding process which preserves the precious volatile oils and enhances the warm, sweet cinnamon taste and aroma. Throughout it's 20-year history, Cinnabon has preserved its quality by using the same source material, processing equipment and testing protocol. The result is Legendary Makara Cinnamon, available only from Cinnabon.

Did you know pecans are native only to North America and grow naturally in many mid-western and southeastern states? We use real candied praline pecans to provide an authentic, irresistibly nutty and buttery caramel flavor experience.

Whole Grain Goodness!
