Amazing. I never made Banana bread before. Made per directions without nuts. Turned out very moist. Making again for my neighbor this morning. Took her some yesterday. She loved it. Printing recipe for both of us. This recipe is a keeper.

Instead of putting foil on top, I put a pan of water under the banana bread and it never burns or cracks on top! I also do that with meatloaf and it works. This recipe is awesome and we all love it!

I am constantly trying to find a banana bread recipe. So many failed recipes. Doesn't rise, raw in the middle or dense and bland. I decided to try one more time... when I came across your recipe. I doubled it, as I had 6 bananas in the freezer to use. I also used my food processor. I have to tell you... ITS THE ONE!!!! It made two perfect loaves. Thank you so much, I finally found a keeper!

Recipe Rating (out of 5):

After 45 minutes, the bread was going dark brown on the edges but still soggy in the top/middle area. My temperature was adjusted to 325 because my oven runs about 25 degrees hot, so it wasn't my oven. Other than that, I'm pleased with the outcome. It tastes wonderful and everyone in my family loves it.

I made a half batch (because I only had 2 bananas) for after supper, and it only lasted until breakfast the next morning because it was soo good I couldn't stop eating it (my husband and toddler both loved it too)! It was super easy, an awesome recipe, but even with the half batch it did take longer to bake - about 50-55 mins. I did half pecans and half chocolate chips instead of walnuts because that's all I had.

Just made this tonight and it turned out great. Other comments were correct... the cooking time for me took nearly an hour and after about 35 minutes I covered it loosely with tin foil so it wouldn't get too well-done (aka burnt) on the top. With the adjusted cooking time and the tin foil precaution... I declare this recipe a big winner.

I also used Splenda instead of sugar. I also used some whole wheat flour along with unbleached flour, added some cinammon and pecans. TASTY and easy.

This is the best banana bread I have ever made. It is so moist that every one goes crazy for this. Also, it works great with Splenda Sugar to make it a low carb treat. Not one person has noticed the difference.

Wonderful Banana Bread! I doubled this recipe and it turned out great. It made 3 foil loaf pans full. I made it again and added 1t cinammon for each recipe and used pecans and raison and it was so tasty! The husband loved it and I will add this to my family recipe book so I can past it on for generations to come.
