Plain Old Omelet

Plain Old Omelet

(2 servings)    Printable Version
  • 6 large eggs
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • dash of pepper
  • 3 Tablespoons water
  • 3 Tablespoons butter or margarine
Beat eggs, add salt and pepper and water. Beat again. Melt butter over medium heat. Pour eggs into pan. As eggs sit, lift up edges and tip pan so the uncooked egg flows under cooked portion. When bottom is browned and eggs are set, fold in half and slide onto plate and serve.

Just a basic omelet with no fillings. As you get good at making them, try filling with cheese and other ingredients just before folding the eggs.
