Sour Milk Griddle Cakes
(4 servings) Printable Version
- 3 cups flour
- 2 1/2 cups sour milk
- 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1 egg beaten
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
Believe it or not, this is a real recipe. I've heard people say they will never use fresh milk again in their pancakes. Some variations suggest adding a pinch of nutmeg to the batter.

Not that great - not fluffy. It's kinda like borderline jello.

Very heavy pancakes. Not light and fluffy like we like. Will not make again.

Wonderful and simple. I was surprised that the recipe worked so well without added oil. The recipe works great with whole wheat flour too.
