Chili Onion Oatmeal

  • 1 serrano chili chopped
  • 5 or more green onions chopped
  • 1/2 cup Quaker Oats
  • 1 1/2 cup water
  • 2 packets chicken or beef bouillon
Boil water with bouillon, onions, and chilis. Add oats and cook for 5 minutes, stirring. Then cover and wait 5 minutes. Enjoy with cold green tea.


This is for people who like it hot!. No sugar involved. I sometimes use 2 chilis. Delicious!

Variation - add some chopped Italian mushrooms at the end and if you have fresh figs, chop a few into this. Sweet and sour!
