Homemade Instant Oatmeal Mix
(5 servings) Printable Version
- 5 cups instant oatmeal
- 4 tablespoons brown sugar
- 1 cup raisins (or other dried fruit)
- 3 tablespoons dry milk powder
- 5 ziplock bags (optional)
To serve: Place 1 cup of mixture and 1/2 to 3/4 cup boiling water (depending how thick you like your oatmeal) into a cereal bowl. Let stand until thickened.
This is a GREAT way to cut down on the sugar that's in those instant oatmeal packets. You can package it up into individual serving sizes in plastic ziploc snack bags! Great to take to the office or for kids to make!

Love this recipe... I make it all the time - adding a touch of splenda and a few almond slices. Good and good for you!

Good recipe - try grinding 1 cup of the oats before mixing everything.

Great but I use splenda instead of brown sugar.
