Apple Baked Lasagna

Apple Baked Lasagna

(6 servings)    Printable Version
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1/3 cup brown sugar
  • 12 slices bread
  • 1/2 pound ham
  • 2 cups shredded cheese (any variety)
  • 1 can apple pie filling
  • 1 cup granola with raisins
In small bowl, combine sour cream and brown sugar; chill.

Place 6 slices of bread in the bottom of a greased 13 x 9 baking pan. Layer ham, 1 cup cheese, and remaining 6 slices of bread. Spread apple filling over top, sprinkle with granola.

Bake in 350 degree oven 25 minutes. Top with remaining cheese and bake 5 minutes or until cheese is melted. Serve with sour cream mixture.

I get great compliments whenever I make this. The combination sounds awkward to people at first, but you can't beat the taste of sweet and savory together at breakfast.

I served this dish at our church's monthly men's breakfast. We had about 12 men so I made a double batch. It went over very well with all the men even though I overcooked it slightly. Very good breakfast and tasted delicious.
