This is the best breakfast restaurant in the area and we eat here about once a month. I have lived all over the country and, in general, Michigan is not a great state for food; you have to really look for the good places. This place would rank up there with my favorite places in California -- someone here is using real ingredients to make real food from scratch and it is awesome. My favorite: Eggs Benedict with a side of hash. The price is totally worth it, but by local standards they are maybe a couple dollars more per dish ($7-8 instead of $5-6). Burgers, sandwiches, and salads too, everything is GREAT! Its only downside is that it is in a small space with funky carpet. But that doesn't matter as there is usually a wait at the usual mealtimes. Oh, and they are only open for breakfast and lunch (no dinner).

Small but clean diner worth the wait. Lots of things made from scratch, like corned beef and sauces. Makes the only eggs benedict I'll order anywhere. Has lots of unique dishes like Michigan pancakes, creme brulee pancakes, almond crusted french toast and good sausage southwest omelets. My husband loves the corned beef hash. The only thing I'd upgrade about this place is the jams. Used to have a better brand.
