My husband and I have been going to George's What's Cooking since it moved from it's original location in Chicago 10 years ago. We have never been disappointed. One of our favorite servers is Josie. She has been there since they opened. The restaurant is run by George and his wife Vicky. Vicky works the breakfast shift. They sure know how to run a great restaurant. I eat egg white omelettes. Know one makes them better. My husband likes their homemade corned beef hash and eggs. They make their buttermilk pancakes from scratch. They are so delicious. Sometimes our kids come up from the city to join us for breakfast on the weekends. Our son eats hearty so he usually eats a skillet. His wife will have their dark cherry crepes or homemade cheese blintzes. Our daughter loves their eggs benedict. I almost forgot on the weekends babka [a most delicious coffee cake] is brought to the table as we are seated. What a way to start the day! They serve breakfast all day and serve great dinners too, but that is another story.
