Man I LOVE this place! Being a bodybuilder there is no place better for breakfast. The foods are broken down into carbos, veggies and proteins. My favorite is the egg whites with buffalo meat, cilantro and tomatoes which is delicious!!! Service was great and coffee was promptly refilled. Servings are huge!

The best service and very friendly staff!!!! I always see someone famous in the Firehouse. I recommend the buffalo patties and also the whole wheat pancakes. You have a choice between healthy food and not so healthy food. The Firehouse has a nice patio if the weather is cooperating. The Firehouse is my favorite restaurant in the Santa Monica/Venice area. Get a workout in at Gold's Venice and then head over to the Firehouse.

The FirehouseI had a great breakfast at the Firehouse. I went for a ham, swiss cheese and mushrooms omelet. It was a good-sized omelet with quality ingredients. The "country-style" potatoes seved on the side were delicious.

The girl I was with ordered their Huevos Rancheros (two eggs served on tortillas with melted cheese, guacamole, sour cream and homemade red and green sauces). She said, "This is really good. I love this sauce."

The Firehouse caters to visiting tourist and meatheads from the neighboring gyms (they have a special Body Builder's menu), but they've built a strong local following of regular-sized people thanks to tasty food and great service.

Our breakfast dishes were $9.25 each. That may sound expensive, but that's pretty much the going rate for a full breakfast in the area.

All in all, we were very satisfied with our meals and they gave us plenty of energy for a nice morning of shopping and people-watching on the nearby Venice boardwalk.
