OMG! What happened to my favorite breakfast and lunch spot? Today at 12 noon the place was a ghost town, when normally you have a 10min wait. The silverware and glasses were dirty! My favorite salad the club house with chicken brought tears to my eyes! The salad had wilted romaine lettuce end pieces and the nice grilled chicken has been replaced with chicken cubes that I'm certain is pre packaged. The hostess stated that it may have something to do with the different chefs. I'm so disappointed! I guess I'll hunt for a new spot. Breakfast club....I'll be back when the quality comes back.

I went for breakfast my first time many years ago and to this day, I base all other breakfasts off of The Breakfast Club. The food is fun, unique, and creative. I am currently looking to open a breakfast restaurant and they have given a great example of how a successful small breakfast restaurant should run.

We try many different breakfast restaurants, but we keep going back to this one as our favorite. Today, we had an incredible carbonara bowl of scrambled eggs and bacon with a wonderful sauce on crispy potatoes. The portions are spot on, the coffee is wonderful and the waitstaff is so great. Get there before 8:30 if you don't want to wait.

What a variety of menu items. The decor is nice and service was very "perky- personal". This is my favorite of the breakfast spots my husband and I have tried in the last month.

I ordered a sorta bruch meal with spinach salad- spiral multi-colored noodles, fresh fruit, etc. AWESOME!!!

Everything on the menu is a winner. If it sounds mildly appealing to you, it will be orgasmic.

Oh, and Billie is a fantastic gal.

My favorite breakfast place. There isn't a bad meal on the menu. Ask for Billie to serve...she's not always there but it's best when she is!

I forgot to add that our breakfast was concluded with chocolate covered strawberries which were the ultimate ending to a great meal. Yummy!

I was shocked to find that this restraunt wasn't already listed on this website... coming from California and finding that the Detroit area has a shortage of breakfast joints I found The Breakfast Club to have fabulous food and great service. It's small and cramped (and a bit stuffy) but the food was definately worth the half hour trip. The waiting area looks into the hot kitchen which wasn't exactly appealing and the waitresses kept running into patrons and other waitresses, but other than that, this place is very nice. We had a short 5 min wait, but by the time we left there was a 15 min wait, still well worth it. I special ordered an Eggs Benedict with their crab cakes instead of the ham and it was delicious. Corn bread is also wonderful and the Greasy Spoon is pretty darn tasty. But, they are famous for their baked french toast (as seen in HOUR magazine) that is at least 5 inches thick smothered in various fruits and drizzled with icing. I haven't personally tried this delight, but it looks fabulous and the person eating it ate the entire thing and was smiling, so I'd definately recommend this one. There is one large table that could accomodate 8-10 people easily.
