Breakfast Banana Split
(1 serving) Printable Version
- 2 ice-cream scoops of cooked oatmeal
- 1 banana - sliced lengthwise
- strawberry sauce
- blueberry sauce
- chopped nuts to taste
You could also use chocolate sauce or any favorite jam as a topping. Try using your favorite granola instead of the nuts. There's a million variations. Just have fun!
Great way to get kids interested in breakfast! It's a banana split except the ice cream is replaced by oatmeal.

Kids love it! My kids, anyway. Top it with no fat whipped cream and crushed nuts for a final touch.

Cute idea. You have to make the oatmeal much thicker than I ordinarily like it to form ice cream like scoops, but still a fun dish.

Great idea. My kids loved this and asked if they could have it again... very rare for my kids and oatmeal. BTW... we did three small scoops of oatmeal and also included no-fat chocolate sauce as a topping. Mmmmm.
