Super Grilled Egg Sandwich

Super Grilled Egg Sandwich

(4 servings)    Printable Version
  • 8 slices of whole wheat bread
  • 4 large eggs
  • 4 or 8 slices of cheese (to taste)
  • 4 deli slices of ham
  • dehydrated onions
  • butter - for frying
  • salt and pepper - to taste
Melt butter on a griddle set to medium-high heat. Fry eggs sunny side up and then flip and break the yolk, frying until yolk is completely set. Push the eggs to the side and cook the ham until warmed and slightly browned.

For each sandwich, layer egg, ham, onion, salt, pepper and cheese on a slice of wheat bread and put another slice on top to make a sandwich. Melt more butter on the griddle and fry the sandwich on both side until the bread is lightly browned and the cheese is melted. Serve and enjoy!

This is like a super deluxe grilled cheese sandwich for breakfast.

I always thought grilling was done with the item to be grilled either over or under a radiant heat element. Frying in my view is done in a frying pan.
