Banana Yam Smoothie

- 1 medium yam
- 1 cup low-fat vanilla yogurt
- 1 cup low-fat milk
- 1 cup ice cubes
- 1 teaspoon white sugar
- 1 medium banana - sliced
Combine the yam, yogurt, milk, ice cubes, sugar and banana in the container of a blender. Blend until smooth.
I thought a yam smoothie sounded wierd too until I tried it. I like it now. Not low-carb, but provides a nice morning boost.

I had some left over yams so i thought i would try this out. Not bad at all. I tweaked it a little using sweeten low and a little more than the recipe called for. Overall tasty.
