This used to be the OK Corral right on Route 12. The OK Corral was a popular, 24-hour institution known to every trucker, one trucker told me. (I didn't check the hours of the Remsen Grill.)

I had found the OK Corral an excellent place to eat and then it went downhill, way down.

The Remsen Grill still had some renovation going on that seems mostly complete when we stopped in.

The menu is limited and unimaginative but there are some real bargains.

When my wife ordered steak and eggs, she got a lot more than the usual small grisly piece of meat. Hey, this was a real, tender, flavorful delmonico steak. I think the price was about $7.

Coffee refills were more than adequate but unfortunately the coffee was atrocious.

There are worse places to stop but we probably won't again. My wife holds a grudge against places with bad coffee.
