Simmer for about 25 minutes - stirring every 5 to 10 minutes.
Once desired consistency is reached, stir in the honey, butter and cinnamon.
This is my version of some grits I got at a small restaurant in southern Georgia. I'm sorry I can't remember the name of the restaurant. But I do remember the taste of those grits and this is pretty close. It goes great as a side with waffles or pancakes.
You can also turn this recipe into Cinnamon Apple Grits simply by adding 1 small apple (peeled, cored and diced) in with final ingredients. Enjoy!

We make something like this except we use grits where you just add water. Replace the honey with sugar and add just a bit more butter at the very end. It's delicious.
