While it was not bad, there was not much good about our visit. They had a number of specials, but being our first visit, we stayed with the basics. Everything was fair - eggs (scrambled resembled those from a container), bread for toast (cheap quality & scarcely toasted), coffee (have had worse, but not so great) and even the home fries which were basically warmed (not browned) boiled red skin potatoes were a disappointment.

The sausage patties were perhaps a step better than typical New England patties, but lacked any bite other than being salty.

Bottom line - fair, basic breakfast at a relatively low price. Not worth a visit.

Sunnyside is a classic little "breakfast joint": clean and friendly with no pretensions. They service coffee, eggs, a few specials and that's just the way it is.

In my opinion, their differentiation comes from their homefries. These small cubed potatoes with a slightly crisp golden buttery taste to them are the best! Most breakfast homefries are these dry, paprika-laden wads of potato, but not here. Instead of cheap plate filler, you will savor every bite.

The menu is standard with several weekly specials. The pulled pork omelet is especially tasty and a bargain at $4.95.

The waitstaff ranges from young and cute to "Flo" types, but all are friendly enough. Even though I am a regular I notice how they treat people I haven't seen there before and they do not have that "you're not a regular snarl" that so many places have (and that chase people away).

The restaurant itself is rather large and spread out, so good for newcomers who don't want to feel like they are intruding in someone else's private domain.

If you are bored with your breakfast routine, this is a good place to try.
