I had the Chesapeake Egg Sandwich. It was sort of an upscale Sausage McMuffin, but I liked it quite a bit. My friend had shrimp and grits. He said he'd had better for the money, but they were still good. The brunch menu doesn't have a lot of breakfast items, but the few I saw coming out to tables looked good enough to make want to come back. Plus, the restaurant is just kind of cool and classy inside.

This was my first visit the The Chesapeake Room. My friends and I were looking for a new brunch spot on the hill and were pleasantly surprised by this new addition.

I'm a breakfast guy and while I tend to be a bit of a traditionalist, this place has a nice selection of progressive brunch options. The food was really quite good.

From an atmosphere standpoint, the place is great. They have covered outdoor seating. If you're from the DC area, you know that is pretty rare.

The service was good, the food was good and we had a great time.
