Reasonable service and reasonable prices. Nothing fancy or out-of-the-ordinary. The specials don't change much and lean towards fruited pancakes. It's been there forever and looks it, but it's clean and filling.

Good old-school diner experience. The tables are worn. The carpeted floor has seen better days. The cooks have grease stains on their white shirts. You get a good idea what you're in for the second you enter the restaurant. Knowing there's nothing fancy about Twain's, you get what you expect and a little more...


I had the French Toast breakfast special which came with two eggs and two sausage links. It was very reasonably priced at $6.75. The French Toast was very good... nothing special - just satisfying and safe. The eggs - requested over-hard - were cooked perfectly. The sausage links were fine.

The only real negative comment I have is that their coffee was weak. But even that I could forgive because it just seemed to fit in with the "everything you'd expect from a restaurant of this sort" experience.

The service was a little better than average. My coffee cup was never empty.

I'll go back to Twain's.
