My family and I use to eat here at least once a week. My kids love the soups and the butter n bread. I probably wouldn't be giving them a two star rating had it not been for the bad experience that came out of today's visit. I ordered the Southern Scramble (i believe this is the correct name) which is essentially an open face biscuit topped with scrambled eggs, hash browns, and sausage gravy. I asked the waitress to set the eggs and hash brown to the side instead of on top of the biscuit. Simple enough right? The waitress was accommodating and all seemed okay. She brings out my order however with regular gravy instead of sausage gravy. I bring this error to her attention and she goes back and gets me the sausage gravy that is part of my entree. We start eating and things are fine. When she drops off our check, she tells me that i shoud have ordered a two egg something or other and that the cook wouldn't make my original order as requested. At this point, I'm totally confused because I've already eaten my food. I look at my tab and they charged me an extra 1.50 simply because I asked for the eggs and hash browns be left to the side. No forewarning what so ever. I received the exact amount of food per my entree. I didn't order anything additional nor did I receive anything extra, but yet i was charged 1.50 for.......??? Be informed should you decide to dine at this establishment.

Racer08 is a loser. There ain't no way that you won't enjoy the meal, the service, or the price. I had an out of body experience after eating the ham and cheese omelete.The coffee was outstanding. Even my wife raved about the food, and she never likes anything.

This is my new favorite place. The pancakes are better than ihop and everything we have had there is wonderful! I never can decide to go for breakfast or lunch!

Yes this place is busy on weekends, but I take my father there every Sat morning. We always went to IHOP, but a neighbor raved about this place.

Great food, awesome service. Worth the wait!

I have to say this is by far the BEST breakfast Restaurant in Mansfield. Order the Works Omlete and you would agree. This place is packed for a reason...
I also love the staff, the owner actually helps the busboys clean tables and ask how things are, you don't see that every day!

i usually do not even post on these things but i saw the racer review and had to comment. this place is great. home town independent restaurant with great staff and great food.the breakfast is great and the coffee never stops flowing. I really have to think this racer fellow must own another restaurant in town because his review is way off mark.

the breakfast he is talking about is only 3.95 btw

Okay before you go consider doing it yourself at home or stop by your local hospital cafe

for $6 1 egg, 2 biscuits, grits and 2 piece bacon left over from day before

very busy good place for seniors

too expensive for kids drinks---enjoy mansfield water instead

not much flavor here, i promise momma cooks better
