After frequenting Gulliver's often in the last year, I was genuinely satisfied with their product and service despite the expensive but small salads in the cafe. I liked the hometown feel of the store, and enjoyed spending time out on their deck. However, recently I was treated very rudely by two members of the staff (one has worked there for a long time and I get the feeling he is an owner). I am a very cordial and an easy person to get along with, so when they treated me poorly, I was, frankly, stunned. I am sad that this happened, because Gulliver's was one of my favorite places in Fairbanks, but I will not be returning.

The Second Story Cafe has recently started a small breakfast offering, in addition to its usual lunch/grazing fare of wraps, kaiser roll sandwiches, salads, daily soup, and so forth.

From 9:00AM to 11:00AM Monday through Friday, 9:00 to noon Saturday, and 10:00AM to 1:00PM Sunday, the choices are:
~Breakfast Sandwich of scrambled egg, cheddar cheese, and choice of ham, bacon, or bean spread on toasted English Muffin
~Breakfast Burrito (this reviewer's favorite!) of scrambled egg, shredded cheddar cheese, mild salsa, sour cream, and choice of ham, bacon, or bean spread rolled up in a tortilla wrap
~Fruit and Yogurt - vanilla yogurt layered with granola, craisins, and raisins.

Of course, the main menu of salads, wraps, etc is available during breakfast hours as well.

Like a cup of house coffee to go with? It's free, and available all hours the cafe is open. Of course, the cafe also has an espresso menu, at extra cost, and you're welcome to peruse the stacks with beverage in hand.
