Had lunch in there this week. Actually, breakfast for lunch - AWESOME! Eggs just right, toast just right but the BEST was the Biskits and Gravy - by far the VERY BEST sausage gravy I've ever had. from Robb's friend.

Went here based on other Mr. Breakfast reviews and it lived up. The coffee wasn't amazing but it was definitely a notch or two above diner joe. The waitress kept the cups filled.

The atmosphere was so welcoming with the waitress and cook (Sal?) actually saying HELLO out loud, not just mumbling a half-hearted "g'mornin'".

We both ordered omelets and while they were nothing fancy, the were very good. Though I have to say the cheddar cheese was really awesome. Good and SHARP, not that wimpy mild stuff. The potatoes were also not fancy, but straight up good.

We had good conversation with everyone in the place, working and dining, and we are NOT the kind of people who get into random conversations with strangers. It was like hanging in someone's living room.

It's a little out of the way for us, but we will definitely go back.

There is easy and ample parking in the back.

Sal & Al do a great job at keeping the coffee flowing and the conversation upbeat. The waitresses are first class in service and friendliness, and you're never a stranger once you walk in the door. Omlettes are a specialty and they offer a full menu of breakfast and luncheon fare. (Real insiders know you can request french toast with whole wheat bread, or even pancakes with a happy face imprint!) A real classic diner-style breakfast and lunch spot like the ones that used to be the center of every downtown, but are now in danger of disappearing from the scene. Stop in and say hi when you're in the Eatontown area!
