Strip mall location - no ambience. Low / reasonable pricing, but nothing all that special with the menu. Coffee was horrible, home fries OK and the sausage patties were greasy. French toast was decent. Warm syrup was a pleasant surprise.

Cozy, comfy place. Feels like family, very kid friendly. Mel is right there at the grill behind the counter. My kids and I loved the place, menu, staff and food.

Mel's is nothing fancy, but I really like this place. It's like eating in somebody's kitchen - the fact that all the patrons seemed to know each other helped with that feeling. The menu is fairly straight forward leaning toward comfort foods. The restaurant is spotless and the staff is friendly. Coffee was good and I never had an empty cup. Worth a visit.
