I live next door to Mrs. Olsen's and have tried it over and over to find what I'm missing in this place. Everyone rants and raves about this place but I still don't see it. The food is ok but not great. The gravy absolutely sucks and would not recommend it. There breakfast potatoes are good but thats about it. On weekends you will wait up to an hour to eat here and it is not worth the wait in my opinion.

I had heard of Mrs Olsen's many times when I had asked for a suggestion to a good breakfast place, but never got the chance to go there until today. Since I was sure I was going to enjoy any meal served from all the good feedback, I asked the waitress to bring me any dish that she recommended. What she brought back was exactly what I had in mind, Huevos Rancheros with a side of potatoes and beans, one of my favorite dishes. It was prepared to perfection and it was indeed a delicious breakfast that I enjoyed with my coffee that remained full. And as I had heard, the serving was more than enough. The service was great and the waitresses were very friendly. I look forward to trying something else the next time I visit. I am sure it will be just as good. Thank you from Andrew

Always a great place to go. Whether it's the chilaquiles, omelettes or breakfast burritos, it's always a delicious breakfast. They serve so much food, I don't think I've ever seen anybody finish (although they do try). It's in the middle of a neighborhood and a couple steps to the beach which equals...no parking. Get there early on weekends.
