I've been there a few times for lunch which was OK. Dinner was pricey and not that good.I live in Ocean Grove and like the view of the restaurant and went there through former owners and none of them met the potential of this location. This morning (Sunday) my sister and I went there for breakfast and were rudely greeted by a hostess who said they only had a buffet for $15 and they didn't have a big enough staff for a regular breakfast on Sunday. We felt so "turned off" by her attitude that we may not go back. Up the boardwalk in Asbury there are a lot of good new places.

If we lived closer, we would probably be there every day. Owner made us feel like family. The food, the service, the people, everything was excellent. We had dinner Saturday night & pizza for lunch the next day. We felt honored to have the first pizza on Sunday, (father's day) and were served outside on the boardwalk. When we left, we were all on a first name basis. Our names are Bill & Cherry. The last name starts with V. You know us. Thanks for eveything.

I work at Dorian's and it's a wonderful friendly place.. Yes sometimes it gets busy and hard to handle but most places are even more difficult.. The wait staff is wonderful and has to be one of the best. The owners take the time to get to know the customers and the wait staff is very friendly to the patrons. This is a wonderful place I also eat there as much as I can when I am in town.. Take my advice stop in and ask for me ! you will be very pleased! Bernie

DO NOT GO TO THIS RESTAURANT!!

The service was the worst we've ever had.

We were seated right away, but then sat and waited for 15 minutes before we were even noticed.

After flagging down another section's waitress,
we finally placed our order for drinks and coffee.

10-15 minutes later we got our coffee and were able to order our breakfast.

Our waitress must have forgotten to put our order in because breakfast switched to lunch and we still hadn't even been served yet.

When the food DID finally come out, it was mediocre and cold. They also forgot our toddlers food, who by this time, was hungry and ornary.

It was one of..... if not THE WORST, dining experience I've ever had.

The staff was complacent and sometimes bitchy and the grub was overpriced.

I was there recently..and the owner(manager?) was trying to have a conversation with an obviously disgruntled employee. It was amazing..this obnoxious little crybaby was yelling at his boss (who somehow remained calm and cool) about the fact that his late arrival at work "wasn't (his) fault"..or "I told you I'd be late"..or whatever. To her credit; the boss fired his cranky little a-- right on the spot!

In addition to the GREAT breakfast they serve, they seem to have a good handle on other things at Dorian's...I'll be back!

This was the best place I have ever eaten .. the service was friendly the atmosphere beautiful and the food wonderful .. I don't know about the past few comments but my experience was a 10... I had dinner with 6 friends it was fast friendly and food was super .... the breakfast was great also ..

if you are looking for great fresh made food .. friendly service ... and a wonderful time then go to Dorians ... You will not be dissapointed ..

This restaurant has incredible potential, but unfortunately is lacking in efficiency. Many people were waiting to be seated when we arrived although almost half of the tables were empty. We waited 20 minutes to be seated , because we had been in for breakfast before and just thought that they were short staffed. (which was not the case) The food was good, but be prepared to wait an unusually long amount of time for it. Dorian's could really be an excellent place to eat if they can pull it together and start to run smoothly. Right now it is just a trainwreck waiting to happen.

View is pretty, but the service is not good. Food was average for breakfast. We went for dinner and the food was below average. Food actually tasted stale. Was disapointed.

This newly opening restaurant juts out over the beach and has a magnificent view of the ocean just steps away. The breakfast menu has all the usual items. Food is delivered fast and hot. Coffee refills are self service with the accompanying carafe. All pancake orders are individually made to order. French toast is made with Challah Bread. Sausage are big and plump, not the Jimmy Dean kind. Toast choices include multi-grain bread. Home made muffins avaiable on weekends. Home fries are very good. Worth a return visit. Rest rooms are clean and well maintained. GO. The view alone is worth it.
