The Delta Diner has food you crave ! At Taste Budz II you can easily get addicted to the Bunkhouse Froster or other local favorites. The staff has personality bubbling over, and it's nice to have "Billy" the local celebrity, sitting at the counter each and every day.
Best place in the area for breakfast. Word of mouth keeps them very busy. Kid's also love the Diner.

When we went there, the hostess/waitress told us we had one choice for dinner( Friday evening) which was the fish fry, no menu was available then she said they had ground turkey white chilli. Since we had fish for lunch we opted for the chilli, we watched the cook microwave it. It was disgusting! It came w/a pc of over buttered dry bread. I tasted one bite and that was enough, the waitress asked if I didnt like it, I said NO. She offered pie which was of the frozen variety, I declined She charged the full price for the chilli which was $6.95 for a very shallow bowl. Dont go there, the diner is cute but the food is the worst I have ever had and over priced for the quality and quantity. Dont know how anyone could say this food was even eatible let alone go out of your way to eat there.

If you're within 150 miles of Iron River, Wisconsin, a trip to the Delta Diner is a must, which is located just south of Iron River. All the food is fresh and prepared first rate. The owner/chef is no deer camp cook, everything here is edible. I recommend anything on the menu, even if you're fussy. Who ever you're with order something different so you can share and try different fares. Even though the owner is not a "local" he fits in. You would think he was born and raised in the area. This is a "Ya gotta go," to place. This is a can't miss. Don't forget to bring your camera. Good Eatin.

My boyfriend and I just made a trip up to the Delta Diner this last weekend.(March 2007) We drove from Janesville up to Delta just for this diner. It was worth the trip just for the beautiful scenery surrounding the diner, but the food and conversation were outstanding to say the least. We had dinner and breakfast there and found them to be some of the best food we have ever had. We were privileged to sample their amazing Norwegian pancakes and deep-fried mac and cheese, as well as the food we originally ordered.

The diner, despite being in the middle of the woods was extremely clean and well-kept. The signs inside were expertly hand-painted and a joy to see. The food was fresh and made right in front of us. The cook told us what he made the food with while he enthusiastically fried bacon and greeted incoming customers. He was friendly and the waitresses we met kept our coffee filled.

This diner is what every diner should be. They don't need any wacky names for their food. They don't need insane amounts of advertisement, because word of mouth does it for them. The Delta Diner is obviously cared for and for good reason- it's everything it should be and more.

This place is shiny and cool and it has GREAT food! Here's the website: www.deltadiner.net Go see for yourself why I say it's shiny! There is nothing better than some Norwegian pancakes, bacon, coffee and some O.J. to get your day off on the right foot. It's my favorite breakfast place in the Northwoods of WI!
