I am visiting my daugher in Apex and thought I would drive over to McDonalds for a gravy biscuit.

On my way there I saw Dallas Chicken & Biscuit on the left and noticed the parking lot was completely filled with cars (9:30 A.M). I thought, Whoa! I better check this place out. I finally found a parking place and went in. The place was filled with an assortment of working peopl and retired people, both ladies and men, and every body seemed to know each other and were chatting away. The odd thing (at least to me) was the customer base was about evenly split into black folk and white folk, and everybody seemed up-beat and cheerful, and I just loved that.

The place seemed to be operated by a middle age black man, and maybe his wife (I didn't ask), and they were good at doing it. The food was good, and the place, while not fancy, was very clean.

Not many places you go in seem have a spirit about them, but Dallas Chicken & biscuit does, and it is a good one.

I didn't have any coffee which is why that is not checked

I will go back.

Great old fashioned place filled with interesting conversation during the week supplied by the large group of retired guys that hang out there.
Good "country breakfast" including fried pork chop biscuits, or sausage biscuits with gravy, country style steak, grits, eggs, homemade muffins, hash browns and more.
Not super healthy, but good and cheap!
