I enjoy coming to this quaint restaurant. Coming from a Polish family it is quite a treat to come here and order Polish food. The food is very good and received very fast. Everyone is very pleasant and it just a great place to come with a friend or someone in the family.

After having been there for the first time a week ago (on a Sunday morning), my wife and I took some senior citizen friends of ours for a Friday morning breakfast. The place was busy but the service was excellent and attentive. We each ordered something different and everyone was very pleased with their meal and the service. A highlight was that I had known that the owner (or co-owner), Tom, was a military man. Our guest was a WWII vet so I asked the waitress if Tom could stop by so we could meet him. Tom came to our table and he was extremely personable and spent several minutes chatting with us. Overall, a great breakfast experience and we hope to make it to check out their lunch menu very soon.

'Nita's does not advertise and is popular due to word of mouth with the locals. They strive on good home cooking in a family, easy-going atmosphere. It's not a pompous place to take up space and read a book. The atmosphere is cheerful, bright and the staff is talkative and makes you feel at home. Crepes, specialty omelets, pancakes, homemade soups and hearty home cooked lunches make this place a hit. It's like being in your own kitchen, BUT BETTER! It's no place for GRUMPS- bring a smile and an empty stomach! Our family loves Anita & Tommy and the entire 'Nita's family! MUST TRY THE CREPES!

I have been going to Nita's for the past several years. The food is great! It has been my favorite breakfast location and the Polish specials are wonderful. Arrive early because there is often a line. My only reservation is that the staff is not very organized. If you don't place your order the first time the staff comes around you could be in for a long wait. We are often forgotten and have to flag down a waitress to take our order. Even after that we have waited 20+ minutes for our meal to arrive with other tables arriving long after us receiving their meals quickly. Maybe it has just been bad timing but this has happened to us on multiple occasions. Thus I will not be returning to this restaurant despite all the other positives.

I have been going to Nita's since they opened the doors. They are always accommodating and the staff knows who you are. The food is tremendous, the cut fruit with the breakfasts is always fresh, and you are always made to feel welcome. Nita, Tom, Robbie, Kinga, Michelle, and all the staff make the place worth coming back to.

I have heard good things about Nita's but it did not live up to my expectations. When I went it wasn't very busy at all and all 3 of the waitresses were standing at the counter chatting. My food was made wrong and then when it was getting "fixed" it was made wrong again. Finally the cook came out to say he was sorry and I finally got my food, but that was long after everyone else at my table had eaten. We had small cups for coffee even when I asked for a large cup, and they didn't offer to fill it untill we were about to leave. To top it off they didn't even offer to lower the bill or anything for the mistake.

Great food and the servers are all so nice! They all seem to work as a team, which ends up being better service for the guests. The wait on the weekends is well worth it, but if you don't want to wait you can go on the week days before 10:30 and they will usually get you right in.
On friday's Nita is in back pinching her home made perogies for lunch and on Wednesdays they have stuffed Cabbage. Every day of the week they have some great Polish specials!
But remember they are closed on Mondays and it is cash only, just the way an old world resturant should be.

There seems to always be a line, but it moves very quickly and is worth any wait. There were many delicious choices on the menu and specials. The wait staff was always busy, but extremely friendly. Your order is taken quickly, and the food arrives quickly. The perfect portion, too. The polish specialties look delicious, and definately make the restaurant stand out from your average breakfast place. Can't wait to go back!!

Nita's is owned by a Polish woman and run by her and her family. Originally in a storefront on Main Street (formerly Gil's...ahh how I miss Gil's), they popularity made them expand into a building on North Street.

They food is great, there are always Polish goodies on the menu, and my son begs for their "Micky Mouse" pancakes that Nita starting making him years ago. Don't let the lines scare you, it's well worth a 15 minute wait.
