The the pancakes are so good that it would be a shame to overdo the syrup, oh and try the expo 73 omlette! An omlette with meat sauce? Amazing! The potato stroganov is great, too and the papas are unique and yummy too. Even the toast rocks!

Way too crowded, way understaffed and poorly staffed, except for the older busboy, who was working his butt off.

Forget the salsa, eschew the omlettes. This is called a "pancake house" for a reason.

I have to say, I have given this place a few tries and I am always disappointed. Almost all the omelets come with american cheese - ick. And the last time I asked for a side of salsa, it was disgusting. It was partially frozen and tasted weak and bland. And I had to beg to get coffee refills! There seems to be a big divide in Manhattan Beach about the breakfast spot of choice - Local Yolk, or Bills. After this last experience, I now only head to the Local Yolk. The food and service are both superior.

The less than enthusiastic review must have been written by the owner of a competing restaurant down the street. Uncle Bill's is scrumptious. It is delectable. There are no words to describe it. It is a little bit of paradise.

The only problem with Uncle Bill's is that a lot of people know about it and unless you get there at the crack of dawn half of LA has arrived before you and the wait can be a trial and a tribulation. Set your alarm clock accordingly.

Good food, but try the Local Yolk (North Manhattan Beach) for outstanding food & service!

This place was voted the #1 best breakfast in Los Angeles.. sorry to say i thought it was a dissapointment. There was nothing spectacular or special about the breakfast here. I had the banana buckwheat pancakes which were average, and i had to soak it in syrup. Their buttermilk pancakes were better. I'm not dying to come back.
