this restaurant is closing soon .as an ex waittress of 896 on college ave iwould not eat there. owner that opened a year ago has sold to motel next door things are not as good i know from experince dont let the looks of the front fool you .

Yes, nostalgia, etc. The fact is the only asset Eagle Diner has is that it's open 24/7. The food is poor. For example, the breakfast potatoes are dry and flavorless. Stopped eating here months ago because I was never served even a Grade B meal.

We live about 60 miles away in Maryland and make it a point to stop at the Eagle Diner when ever we pass by on US 95. Fair warning: We've only eaten breakfast here, so we'll stick with what we know. On every occasion, we've enjoyed exceptional eats at the Eagle. Tasty, perfectly cooked eggs, sausages, pancakes, home fries, omelets, and waffles. Seriously large portions, too. Nice, friendly service. You cannot go wrong at the Eagle.

Their dinners are great. the portions are large and the service is also great. I recently had breakfast there, for the first time,and that was an equally good experience.

I have fond memories of Eagle because I used to live across the street when I was in college and ate there frequently with my now husband. I visited recently on New Year's Day with friends, and it was still good. The food is a great value and they offer short stacks of French Toast and pancakes for a lighter meal (I think this was what I always liked about them). The four of us were seated right away and our server was very attentive throughout our meal. Eagle is still a great value with good food (and they still have great service).

Great food for very little money. Special breakfast menu includes coffee (excellent...with refills) and juice. Rudy and his staff are very pleasant and accommodating.
