Four of us went based on Mr. Breakfast reviews. Lived up to the good reviews. Plenty of food and all of us liked what we ordered from eggs to pancakes and the country potoatoes were excellent!

If you love coffee as much as I do, you'll really appreciate that red, old stove in the center of the restaurant. I just walk up and get my own when I need it!

Breakfast is VERY GOOD! And you can tell, cuz there is a huge wait on Sat and Sun mornings (best to try to sneak in around 7-8am.) however, the wait is worth it. Chicken Fried Steak is my fav and look for the Chili Verde Omelet. Be sure to check out the specials - if you see the Crab Benedict, seriously consider ordering this!

Fresh ingredients and imaginative specials that don't disappoint!

Great food, good service and low prices all wrap up in a closest thing you'll find to a greasy spoon in the Salinas/Monterey area. What more could you ask for?

Best breakfast in town! After living and eating in Salinas for ten years, Toro is hands down the best chow in town!

Classic and friendly atmosphere. Almost any thing on the menu is good. Try the chicken fried steak and order the biscuit instead of toast! My fav is the Spinach, Bacon Cheese omelet!

Coffee convieniently available near the middle of the restaurant... just go up and help yourself! Just like being at home!

This joint is way better than First Awakenings! Not only in food, but in service and the comfort level!
