The food here is wonderful and they have some of the best scones I have ever eaten. Plan on waiting for a bit before you're seated because this place is tiny. I would suggest dressing for the weather and bringing an umbrella if there's any chance it will rain because there's no lobby; you'll be waiting outside but they do have a canopy for you and there's plenty of coffee under it. The service and food are great but I want to caution the big boned breakfast lovers, it's pretty cramped inside and the tables are very close together so you may not be very comfortable in your on the bigger side.

The Dish was just recommended in USA Today saying to check out their "huge all-American egg dishes like the slacker especial and sides of great bacon and scones."

Very pleasant morning eatery. The place is tiny so expect a wait anytime after 9:30am, but they do have coffee and mugs for you while you wait.

I wasn't too impressed with the food, though. The coffee was only slightly better than gas station coffee and the pancakes were too thick and rather bland. The french toast looked equally uninspiring.

I'd try it again, though, because the eggs and sausage were really good, the vibe is electric, and the owner was really nice.

The food here is consistently great, and so is the wait staff. It's a great family atmosphere, though it's usually busy on weekends.

Breakfast comes as the usual a la carte "eggs + sides + coffee" variety, or as a specialty. They have about ten different omelets that can also be made up as scrambles (yum!) and a few other standbys: breakfast burrito, biscuits and gravy, eggs benedict, etc.

Potatos and coffee are always hot, eggs are always done just right, portions are always generous.

There is NO DOUBT that this place has the greatest Biscuits and Gravy of all time. Plus the omlet with tomatoes, basil, and cream cheese is damn good. And the staff is really fun and run around like crazed headless chickens.

The best breakfast in Seattle. Admittedly I don't live there so that I can compare it to every place in Seattle, and can only compare it to the breakfast I had at Piroshky Piorshhky at Pike Place (which was good, for coffee and a piroshky - and when I'm in Seattle I do stop by.) The cream cheese omelet, pancakes, biscuits and gravy, and the fried potatoes were awesome and very filling. I'll be back. My standard for what an omelet should be got moved up after that. Somewhat better that Original Pancake House in Charlotte and the Pancake Pantry in Nashville, but only somewhat, and way better than Denny's and Perkins and IHOP. I also like it because its a neighborhood place. We may not have been the only tourists there, but it felt like it.

The Dish is great - everything I've had there has been really good. The black beans are awesome - I usually substitute them for my hash browns for a tastier, more healthy option. BRING CASH...The Dish doesn't take cards, which is a pain in the butt, but the food makes up for it.

The best thing about the Dish is they give you free coffee while you wait for a table. The wait can be long and they will not seat you until the entire party is there. But, it doesn't matter, you all will be sipping coffee while you wait!

Once inside, the food is the greatest. The staff ROCKS! Plus, they have a hot sauce collection to be bowed down too.
