Food has been excellent every since they changed the name to Copper Penny about 5 years ago.

I have stopped in twice once for breakfast once for lunch.. Breakfast was good, lunch for my father and I was not that swift.. The Taco Salad needs work... and way to much breading on the shrimp..

Here is the newest family restaurant in St. Clair Shores(as of August, '05), and I believe it promises to become one great breakfast joint. The young couple that opened Crock Pot dressed up a dreary dining room to make it inviting and bright. Imagine oilcloth table coverings, waitresses in throw-back uniforms, and a SIX page menu with great comfort foods for any meal of the day. We've had breakfast here twice, I sampled the Crock Pot Special Breakfast, three eggs, Sausage, two rashers of bacon, a cut of ham, toast and hash browns--with coffee for $5.20. Wonderful. Second time in, my better half opted for the Mushroom & Swiss Cheese Omelette, I chose the Irish Omelette. DW raved about the fresh mushrooms and the creamy texture of her meal, I was IMPRESSED by the fact that my omelette was prepared using slices of real corned beef. This eatery is worthy, believe me. Lunch & dinner offerings range from simple coney dishes to Mexican, Greek, Italian and Lo-Carb fare. Have to try something from those pages of the menu next. Kid friendly.
