The way I see it breakfast fans fall into different categories for example I am a fan of old fashion diner style/greasy spoon kinda places - you know those places your grandparents may have taken you in a small town and you sat at the counter...well that's what Beth's is with a hipster twist - tattoos and piercings, workers and customers alike. I am told the best time to go is on a saturday night after the bars close! Basic breakfast fare, featuring huge omelets and all the hash browns you can down...Mrs D and I brought outatown family here...had a great time!

Not a place for the light at heart, or the light meal expectant! The food was horrible as it all tasted like eating a stick of butter. The famous 12 egg omelet came with it's own personal swimming pool of grease on top. (Not kidding!) The coffee was OK, and the place itself had a dirty charm to it. However, don't bother even asking for a refill on that coffee or ask about the slow service (over an hour when the place was not HALF full) or you will get even more rude service. Don't know if we just caught them on a bad service day or what, but there is no way I am going back to find out.

I ate here, anticipating awesomeness, and was sorely disappointed. The waitress was...what's the word? oh, right...a hag. The food was horrible but that was balanced out by the incredibly long wait to get it. Beth's is not the dirtiest place I have ever eaten but it was close. It was easily one of the worst.

We used to be regulars at Beth's Cafe. Not sure if it was the smoking ban that lifted the cloud and revealed the 40 years of grime. Still love the waitresses! Still love the almost obsessive coffee refills! But, the food is average, and the prices aren't the best. Overall, you go there for the culture and the coffee - available 24/7 but most fun in the middle of the night just after the crowds of teenagers have left.

Seattle doesn't have any good diners. Beth's survives because people think it's dirty and cool. But it's just dirty. They don't know any better. Go to New Jersey. Now there's some real diners.

When you look up "greasy spoon" in the dictionary, you'll find directions to Beth's Cafe.

They are most famous for their 12-egg omelet (served on a pizza pan), but have terrific hashbrowns too. You can even customize your own breakfast item from a list of ingredients. Open 24 hours too.

Beth's has been around for 40-some-odd years, hopefully it will be around for another 40 years.
