The breakfasts are fast, fresh and full of homemade goodness. It is a family business and it shows with their attention to good service and great food. Their muffins are scrumptious.

You can't talk about the Apple Tree Rest. without mentioning their homemade pies. The owner makes them fresh every morning. The daily list will include about five different selections including: fruit pies, cream pies with real meringue, fresh strawberry pie and sour cream pies. My favorites are sour cream raisin and rhubarb. Yummy.

If you want the best home(style) cooked breakfast in Pontiac, dont go ANYWHERE else than here. Open from 7AM till 2'in the afternoon, The Appletree offers a full breakfast and lunch menu daily (except sundays, when they are closed - but, hey, everybody needs a day off, right?) Anyway, they make the most delicious food; wonderful, yummy pancackes w/WARM syrup justlikeyourgramma's (and MY Gramma made the worlds BEST pancakes,OK?, so I consider myself a pretty good judge.) Eggs and omelets, and THE best-damn-fried-potatoes-in-the-whole-wide-world! (again, I consider myself a pretty good judge on fried potatoes, too.)

At 11', they start serving lunch & every day a different special is offered; runs the gamut from Baked spaghetti to Hamloaf(oh,god,how BLESSED you will be if you happen to drop in on a day when they have this!) - (* be sure to grab a menu of their monthly specials at the cash register on your way in or out-they go fast!)Oh, and EVERY day they have the MOST deeeeelicious, FRESH home-made mashed potatoes (NOT from a mix!)- Also have hand dipped milkshakes and REAL vanilla cokes! A very comfy, cozy place run by Tom & Lynne & their daughter Steph.

Do yourself A BIG favor & try this place - you'll DEFINTELY go back!
