My best friend and I headed out to Anna Maria Island for the beach - and wound up at Mama Lo's for a good 2-3 hours eating lunch, reading magazines, and drinking coffee. We're still raving about how relaxing the atmosphere was, how friendly the people were, and the great Almond Joy Latte!

Mama Lo's is a combination of an ice cream parlor,gourmet coffee house and cafe.

The room is bright and spotlessly clean.The service is warm and friendly. Plenty of reading material. Excellent muffins, bagels and croissants. There aren't a whole lot of hot breakfast dishes but they represent the best of home cooking. Choices include two eggs your way, bacon or sausage, grits or home fries and toast, eggs o'bagel, and a three pancake stack. ( The toast is wonderful - bread on the island seems better than most places.)

Breakfast is served all day seven days a week and "all day" means 7am to 9pm. We love this place!
