Unfortunately Mars isn't what it used to be. A few years back it was THE place for breakfast. It's still damned good, but a shadow of its former self.

I eat at Mars at least once a week and every time I visit, the servers greet me with a smile of recognition and I get seated as quickly as possible (usually at a booth). These people work really hard to make sure you aren't left hungry, standing in line and go out of their way to make you feel comfortable. I order either the California breakfast or the Baked Apple Supreme. Both dishes come with a mound of fruit, topped with fat free yogurt and granola. These meals also come served with a HUGE low-fat bran muffin with fruit baked right into the centre. I highly doubt it is as low-fat as they claim it to be...but it's damned good!!! I strongly recommend coming here for a "hangover" weekend breakfast. Great food and service, but visit the Tim Horton's if you want to drink good coffee, as Mars is somewhat lacking in the coffee department.
