The food was good, but the service was really slow. Never checked on us after we got our food. We waited a long time for the check, another server brought it to us. And the server was rude to us from the moment we walked in. I guess it was something about us she didn't like because she seemed really nice to everyone else. Personally would not eat there again.

My family and I are locals in St Augustine. We eat breakfast regularly at Mary's because they make us feel like family. We also understand that it is a very busy place at certain times. If we go on Sunday morning we know we will have to wait but Mary's food is always worth waiting for! The best home cooked breakfast in St. Augustine if not anywhere! Eggs Benedict are outrageous! Biscuits and gravy are the best I ever had. You get so much food you won't eat again all day! You won't be disappointed!

Breakfast only served til 12pm, we went in at 12:30 or so, this past Saturday, 4/7/12, and they were serving lunch, sent us to Athena's, nearby, which was good, but a little pricey.

Everytime my family and I travel to St. Augustine (twice a year), we always eat breakfast at Mary's Harbor View Cafe. The food is good, the prices fair and if you are a regular, you may even get a hug from Mary and her staff. While the cafe is small, the quality and preparation of the food and the friendly service is BIG TIME! Our family vacations annually in St. Augustine and have been since 1970. The breakfast at Mary's can't be beat. Personnally, I love the french Toast w/strawberries (when in season) with loads of whip cream surrounding the plate. My family (mostly girls) love the fresh fruit bowls & bagels. While their coffee is excellent, my girls prefer their HOT CHOCOLATE & WHIPPED CREAM. We have always been treated like family when eating there and I guess that too, keeps us coming back. Again, if you are looking for a good, hearty breakfast...go to Mary's Harbor View Cafe, you won't be disappointed.

Convenient to our hotel, the waitress refused to serve us breakfast. Ok so we were 5 min after 11:00 the first time but she served it to other customers and the second time she refused to seat us even though there were seats available Egad!

Excellent omelets (per my husband, the omelet expert). Awesome fruitplate-and-bagel combo (fresh fruit in bitesize pieces at a great price). Friendly service--the owner remembers us even though we are only able to visit every few months. Unbelievable view of the Matanzas River/Bay and boats coming in and out of the marina. In the heart of the tourist area, but locals eat here, too. Our very favorite breakfast place in St. Augustine.
