Sadly, this place has burned down and no longer exists. The owner may attempt to open a new restaurant in the future, but that remains to be seen.

I absolutely LOVE slickety jim's. Awsome service, great food and a wierd and entertaining environment.
I would deffinetly recommend it to all my friends.

It's friendly, funky, and foodalicious. The meals are really a cut above, especially considering the price. I have enjoyed every breakfast at Slickety Jim's, and will go back for many more!

Those gals at Slickity's make a hangover less than excruciating. Gently guiding one through the chaos, they seem to really care about each and every customer's experience. Hasn't everyone fallen in love with their breakfast waitress atleast once?
Food's fresh and unpretentious. The surroundings give everyone something to talk about if your stugggling for conversation. Ole!

A little know fact as to who Slickity Jim is or was
.Well as the story goes (and keep in mind the
story changes as i remember it .
So there is no real truth here just a story.
The long and short of it,is he or was abducted by
aliens .Travelled across the counrty .
On a push scooter ,wearing a gingham shirt and
coulered srtiped pant's .The tassles on the end
of the handlebars a must.Without drawing out
the conclusion. He travelled the country looking
for a breakfast place .He found the down and
dirty digs at Powell and Victoria to ply his craft
Et voila!

I almost hesitate to tell you about this place... it's that good. I'll risk longer lineups in hopes of good breakfast karma.

The decor is just what you'd expect with a name like Slickety Jim's Chat'n Chew... weird, wonderful and eclectic. Luckily, it's not just a cool atmosphere, the food is extremely palatable and has a few different combo's to shake up all those traditionalists out there.

Coffee is dark and strong, and it just keeps on coming.
