Its a great place to eat, the waitstaff (for the most part) are awesome. there are a few cranky ones there, they need to smile more, BUT whats with all the yelling. I go out to eat and enjoy BUT when I hear yelling, that makes me a little nervous, AND they need to speak english, I often hear the waitress's NOT speak english and that bothers me. Your in AMERICA speak our language. We hear you from a distance "are you talking about me?"

We go to this resturant several times a week and have never had anything except excelent service and quality

Coming from the west side of Detroit's suburbs, you cannot imagine how surprised and impressed I and my companions were when we entered this East side jewel.
The atmosphere is airy and clean and the staff is very friendly.
The Food, on the other hand is the reason we keep coming back. They serve such generous quantities and at affordable prices.
We've tried breakfast, lunch and dinner and in each case we've left with full stomachs and smiles on our faces. The only thing that tops this experience is the low cost!
This restaurant charges about 1/2 of the menu prices charged at the restaurants in my neighborhood and the food quality is much better. I understand Ocean Breeze has been under new management for one year now and it's a terrific improvement.
Go and go often.

I am a past employee of the Ocean Breeze, (for 14 years) Since the recent management change, the quality of the food has changed while the prices have increased. It is a known practice in this restaurant to "re-serve" the bread baskets, meaning yes the same bread can be given to 2 or 3 tables in day. I left on my own accord since I could not and would not adhere to these practices

I love this restaurant. Breakfast is great with a lot of choices. I am amazed, after eating there for 10 years now, that the quality has not changed, the food is still great, service is friendly and fast, and the place is always clean as are the waitresses, hostesses, busboys etc. And the best coffee ever!! Ocean Breeze is one of a kind.

One of the few restaurants I've rated in Michigan that I've given the Five Golden Egg award to. Bright, airy, well lite, well laid out. Clean too and nicely decorated. Food was excellent and well prepared. What pushed me over the edge was that the waitresses were all in black skirts, nylons, white tux blouses with a Kelly green bow tie... all sparkly clean, blouses were pressed and bright white, not a hair out of place on any of them. Even the white shoes were clean. A good and decent restaurant kind of out towards the boonies. Service was fast and well done without being pushy. Stop backs were frequent. I rated coffee refill as N/A as they put a pot on your table. Waitress did come back to heft it to see if the pot needed refilling. I am betting you can't get in this great place on weekends.
