This is easily the best breakfast in Ottawa. I've eaten at all the small Ottawa haunts in search of the best breakfast. Von's is in the same price range if not less than Cora's (a place I cannot recommend) and significantly better. I haven't found a thing on the menu that isn't fantastic. The 2 egg standard "everywhere has it" breakfast is easily the best prepared in Ottawa. They do a perfect eggs over easy. The omelet selection is great, waffles are amazing with the wild blueberry sauce, The French toast is properly good, and there is always plenty of fresh fruit. The surroundings/ambiance are also much nicer than most other options. The service staff are marvelous, I'm disabled and they are always eager to help. Cannot recommend highly enough if you're a big fan of breakfast.

A 2 egg breakfast (with bacon/ham/sausage, toast, homefries/salad), an omelet (with toast and homefries/salad) and unlimited coffee for two is ~$23 to give an idea of the price range.

This restaurant is great for that weekend morning breakfast. They open at 8:30. I have been going to this restaurant with one or another of my daughters for over 10 years. The waffles are great, the apple crepe is a treat, the daily quiche is always good (though I swap the green salad for fruit in the morning), and the omelettes are just right. They also have fresh squeezed orange juice to kick things off. Highly recommended.
