Visited the west broad location a few weekends ago. The staff seemed grumpy. I assumed it was because they were busy. We sat at the counter and was amazed by the grill line. There was four cooks. Laughing and enjoying being back on the grill. Three guys and one woman. It was refreshing to see them having fun while serving the customers. The woman interacted with many of us at the counter.she made my morning..and the food came out quick and very good looking. Thanks you for them.

What ever happened to the ed herring guy. He made that place pop. He was a icon for teejayes. I cant believe the best manager they had there in years is gone. I go in there now I see waitresses who dont care and a manager with the personality of a rock. The owners did a great injustice letting him go. I tried other teejayes and i havent seen the same laughing lets take care of the customer and have a good time atmosphere since. Please wake up teejayes and hire some fun loving family oriented managers insted of skirt chasers. Maybe you all need to take lesson from the herring guy. Or just let your company continue to be just mediocore.

I just read the review from the Truck Driver OTR (Over The Road.) Im from Columbus and where the Parsons Avenue Restaurant is. I will say this, I think their menu needs a "Make Over", and they just raised their food prices. They are definately "Not" a Bob Evans, but their prices are.
This new Guy who (Herring) runs the place, is a real pro, and he is always on the floor making his rounds with customers to see if everything is OK, if not, He straightens it out. If you are familiar with him, he shakes your hand, "Thank you for comming in" and he "spots" an oversight on the Waitress's part, corrects it.
This Resturant is just accross the street from the Main office of Tee Jaye's. It should be the show place, and things are looking up, but past reputation of "Sloppy" are to over come. They have a way to go yet. They have years of a bad name in food, service, and crack-heads they use to hire.
This New Guy is alright, I see and many do too, better things everytime Me and My Family go in to "Parsons Avenue".
That Waitresses name is NOT BART, It's BERT. She is too long there. It shows. Back to basics is right. "Howdy Folks" not hi guys, or how are you today Billy Bob, Hi Guys even when it's all women -with her. I don't care how experienced she is or how long she has been there. I spent an average of $30.00 in there with family, but not if she is in there. She is just a loud mouth.Breakfast only for us from now on.

This applies about the Parsons Avenue too. I am a truck driver otr, and in Kansas right now with my laptop.I have been in both West Broad and Parsons Avenue. I finally see some hope for Parsons Avenue, with what appears to be some New Guy named Ed. Herring, a waitress said he was the "New" General Manager. He is always on the floor checking with the customers if everything is OK, and the coffee pot in his hand.

Now: if he can only get the waitress's to wipe down the counter at least, after someone leaves instead of "Throwing" the dishes in the doo-flickie, and not wiping up the mess that is left, until someone else comes in and sits down and then doing it, basics will be place.
Another thing at these restaurants, is "NOT" HOWDY FOLKS, IT'S HI GUYS, (when it's all women) It's always a hit and miss, "Howdy" Hi, How are you, Seat yourself, someone will be right with you. It always seems to come from a Waitress Named Bart,or something like that. Parsons for the most part has "Up Graded the Waitresses" at least.
With this new guy, things are looking up.
