This Country Breakfast place is a real treasure to find. They have great family atmosphere. Very freindly service and the cooking is just like home. You may have to wait but the food is well worth it. Everything is made fresh and from scratch. We enjoyed looking at the cooks in the kitchen wearing old time chef hats. We introduced ourselves as Hoosiers since there is some Indiana Decor we had the feeling that they were from Indiana as well. And the owners son said they were from Indiana and that his mother had started the restaurant but has now retired but that she made it what it is and we wouldn't change a thing. Why mess with perfection.

We enjoyed breakfast at this tiny cafe in the center of a strip mall. It was advertized on the radio as the best breakfasts in Highland County... which of course peaked our interest. We had to wait for a table to clear... only about 5 minutes.

The decor is trays collected from every state in the Union and many different cities as well. Our breakfast consisted of hashbrown potatoes, corned beef hash, two eggs & a biscuit... and three large biscuits and gravey & two eggs. We declined coffee but the people at the table next to us said their coffee was really good.

We received substantial amounts of fare considering I didn't see any breakfasts on the menu that were over $5. Most were $3 and under!!! I would suggest you stop for breakfast... if you are in the area.
